Randy Petersen is the world's leading expert on frequent flyer programs, a respected publisher and the founder of several of the Web's most innovative and popular travel-related sites.
In 1986, Randy left a career as a merchandise presentation manager for a menswear retailer to become the voice of the frequent flyer. In 1995, Randy became one of the first publishers to take advantage of the emerging commercial Internet when he launched WebFlyer.com and in 1998 founded what was to become the world's leading online community for frequent flyers, FlyerTalk.com.
Today, Randy's Frequent Flyer Network includes subscription-based sites InsideFlyer.com and MileageManager.com, a business travel blog network - BoardingArea.com, and a frequent flyer wiki - FlyerGuide.com, among others. The Frequent Flyer Network of sites have won numerous awards and was the first business travel site to integrate social networking and Web 2.0 technologies and practices. In fact, blogs were being hosted on WebFlyer before the term "blogs" was coined.
